Can't join my friend

When im trying to join my friend i cant get in a game with him.

My console says that it's asking for room in the party, it stays having that error until i type

disconnect.

Also my friends cant join me, also when i type net_port 25565 (a port to my computer), and net_restart.

And let them type :25565.

Plz help

    Have you got your ports opened? If not, try using Hamachi, or some program like it.

     

    *Edit*: Also, asking if another party is available or something like that means it can't find the specified party (Host's PC, AFAIK.)

     

    Also, be sure to use the correct command

     

    /connect >IP<
