You need a key to run a server, don't you? Also, if you don't have that file that NTA had to take down, you can't see the server list anyway.

So if I want to host and play (on separate machines, of course) then I need to own MW2 twice? :/

No. Just install Steam where you're going to run the server, install MW2 and copy it outside of Steam, install the files you need for IW4M, run it once to authenticate the files, then you can uninstall Steam. Of course we can't run servers yet. We need keys to run them.

Thank god. I've given Activision more than enough money already xD. Hope NTA comes out with the keys soon, running my own server was my favourite part of the old project.

soooo....if i want to play mw2 on both of my computers at the same time .....i only have to authenticate them once???

The first time you run IW4M you have to be logged into Steam so it can authenticate your account.
