one of my friends have a problem when he launch the iw4m.exe

 

there are some error words in console

[NP]Initializing RPC

[NP]Couldn't create RPC socket

[NP]Shutting down RPC

[NP]Could not look up iw4.fourdeltaone.net:10093

 

the error dialog box says:

Error during initialization:

Could not connect to NPserver at iw4.prod.fourdeltaone.net

 

I want to know what is the" RPC socket "? and how to solve this problem ? :?:

I'm pretty sure It has something to do with getting the game to work without steam. Maybe something wrong with winsock?

RPC means "remote procedure call" afaik, and a RPC socket is obv something that handles this calls..

TPawnzer, this is another problem, he was having this problem before the server went down.
