Hey 4D1 !.I'm new here and i wanted to join you guys as soon as i heard about here.So my problem is i don't have anything related to MW2 installed on my PC.So i don't know where/how to start installing.Do i need an original copy of mw2 ?.I know how to install 4D1 client but i just don't know where to get fresh MW2 copy.Can i use an old AlterIW copy?

 

Also,how do i get the DLC's and new weapons?.Are they included in the client?

 

Or do i have to get them from somewhere else?

you must have an IQ over 60...

First, you need MW2. You can get it from steam or thepiratebay. If you don't know wich torrent you want to download, you can search for "fourdeltaone". Take the torrent with the most +1Вґs and after that download the installer from the mainpage

 

If you want the DLCВґs, you need to google "mw2 dlc repository". The new maps (oilrig n stuff) is already in the game. Hope it helps!

Thanks for the help mate.I've installed the AlterIW version and its all working fine now.But there is just one small thing.I didn't wanted to open a new topic for this.So i already have a legit mw2 copy on Steam.Anyways but its not installed or something.The thing is,when i launch the IW4M Client,it opens with Steam overlay and my friends see me as i'm playing Modern Warfare 2.Is this normal?.Idk what i did wrong i just deleted that iw_25.iwd file like it said in installing topic.Now it launches with Steam.Which is something i don't want.I hope this is normal because i don't want to get banned on Steam :?

Hmm if you don't want the overlay to appear simply run the game while Steam is off.

You will NEVER be banned from steam using this.
