Anyone that played MW2 since its release will remember the pre-nerf Models, the absolute god of all shotguns, effectively akimbo-SPAS12.

 

It seems that they're back in 4D1? They sure as hell weren't in aIW. Is this intentional? If so, why?

If the servers you play on have the correct files they should have been nerfed, but most servers don't have these files.

They are nerfed. But since some (huh aRev again?) servers use outdated files, they are unpatched there.

Try setting up a game via private match, and check the range of akimbo models. It is pretty short now.

Well perhaps not showing aRev servers will force those server owners into changing to official 4D1 files. I have no doubt that majority of their traffic is through 4D1, so if they stop getting that traffic, they're sure to swap.

 

Only issue with that is, some players may leave to aRev simply for those servers.
