Hey all, I know the sticky problems thread has a generic Fatal Error w/ Minidump section that says there is no official fix, but I don't really know if I have the problem that is talking about....and maybe would like to try and "unofficial" fixes if people know about my problem. I also tried my best to search for my specific error to no avail.

 

Seemingly at random I will get a crash to Fatal Error when connecting to servers, or when a server starts a new round. Even if I have been playing on that server for a few games. I get a black screen, and have to alt-tab to the console. There is no seperate error message, just

 

|Fatal error (0xc0000005) at 0x1006e4cf.

|A minidump has been written to iw4m-3.0-104-20120726233458.dmp.

 

This is sometimes preceded by the line

 

|Error: Could not load menufile "ui_mp/scriptmenus/popup_summary.menu".

 

but not always. Anyone know about this? Any possible fixes/advice?

Well... since that file isn't part of 4D1's updater, I should just suggest you to reinstall the game...

Still, do one last attempt. Delete "m2demo" folder and "caches.xml" (both from your MW2 folder) and start IW4M again.

If it doesn't fix your problem (I have a feeling that it won't) just reinstall the game.

Try deleting that folder...game then would not start with "Steam must be running to play" error. Just deleted game files, reinstalled, then reinstalled IW4M. First time joining a server, game crashes like before upon new match start. Last few lines of console read:

Well, it wasn't really meant to be like a bump. Though I must say it's not amusing to have this problem, which makes you unable to play properly, and everytime you post a requested file , everyone stops replying. Im not forcing anyone to give me answers, but if you don't know how to fix it, please just let us know so we can make sure that IW4M is not for us xD.

I unfortunately just lacks people that are able to analize these dumps properly

Well I can imagine, because I can't make anything out of these dump files as well. But if someone asks me to supply a dump file, I assume they know what to do with it. Unless someone is collecting them, in that case, I got about a 100 now, so feel free to ask xD
