When i try to join a server via console (connect IP) i got a NOTICE "Unable to join game session"...

 

This only happens when i join via console, if i join via BROWSE SERVER i can connect normally.

This can happen because of one of two reasons:

1- the game client is coded in C and you're Java

2- you're not connecting to a valid address (are you sure that you're typing the right IP:port ?)

Yes. To find it, do winkey + R , and type cmd.

Then in cmd prompt type ipconfig. Find your ipv4 address/ip, and thats it. then just add the :PORT to the end of it and connect.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, what i really want to mean, the server is mine, but hosted in a VPS. Server is UP and Runing.

The problem is certainly not the router. It can only be the address that you're trying to connect to, since it works if you connect through the serverlist.

My guess goes that maybe the server is launched through a control panel on the VPS. Maybe you think that it's running on a certain port and the control panel on the VPS is assigning another port...

Anyway, connect to the server through the serverlist. After you get on the server, keep TAB pressed and check the server's correct ip:port on the bottom right.

 

It's ON, and i saw people online. I think i'm the only one having this problem.

you'll see that there's no server running on that IP (you can sort the results by IP)

 

So, my answer is that either your server is not running, or it's blocked on the firewall, or it's running on another IP.

i have the same problem,when i try to join server by ip or i try to join my friends by friendlist i get unable to join game session

The server was not the problem, people can join to the server, so... that's mean i'm the problem

this smells like aRev Dedicated Server . You can't join from 4d1 to aRev m1 with connect ip !

Found it! Yeah, it's Enabled. And i don't know if this is relevant but it's also enabled the "Gaming mode"

 

is your +set net_port is 28961 or 28960?
