I wanted to change nickname ingame and i did a new account here.

But i have to write in my new nickname/pw before i start 4d1 but i hae autologin so icant change...

 

How to do?

1) Delete iw4m.ini from your game folder.

OR

2) Open iw4m.ini and edit the file with Notepad, so that in the first line you have written your account name, and in the second line -- your password.

or edit it, in the firstline the username and in the second one the password...

 

btw: Is it possible to send the hashed password and not in cleartext? :S

In database it is hashed.

 

.ini creates a simple text, because our source is public anyway

But why is the password send over the network in cleartext, it should be a md5-hash... Now everybody can sniff the password in the network (I'm maybe a bit too paranoid, but some people may use their password for others services aswell )
