Sorry if this has been asked before but my search button doesn't work for some reason but I was wondering if you can play on a VAC banned Steam account and I realize in the FAQ it tells you "As we cannot verify which game you were banned from, this status is irrelevant."

 

Which I don't understand seeing as you can see what game(s) you have been banned from in Steam which in my case would be Modern Warfare 2. Which I suppose happened because I rank hacked to get to 10th prestige (I was too lazy to bother playing for it seeing as I pretty much only play Search and Destroy).

Which I bothered to say because I know some will ignorantly say "we don't want hackers gtfo". That's my question, also if not will we be able to in the later full version of IW4M? Thanks.

Really? This is very odd then because when I try to start the game I always get the usual "cheat detected" message. Perhaps I did something wrong when installing? Also sorry for not including this bit of information when I should have.

You have to start it by using "iw4m.exe" and not start it via steam or "iw4mp.exe"

if so, try and run iw4m.exe and make sure the iw4m.dll is the current version.

Thanks for the help guys, I just didn't install everything correctly and assumed it just didn't work with a VAC ban so I didn't bother to try again.
