Hey guys

I live in Germany and I have a pretty good internet so my ping in game was from 20 - 30 on like half of the servers.

now I installed our new router which should have a faster connection because it runs over a fiber glass but what happens?

I start the game and my lowest ping is 450 !!!!

WTH ?!?!

Can anybody explain to me what's wrong or tell me what's the problem?

thank and have a nice day

I'm no expert, but all I can think of are these 2 things:

1. Your NAT type on the old router was open, on this one it's strict

2. You've just experienced a lagspike

in case 1, open the ports required on your router (don't ask me for them, I don't know) and try again. In case 2, try again in a couple of minutes or so, it might just be your ISP acting up.

Try this:

[WIN] + [R] (Run-Windows)

then type "cmd"

then a black terminal should appear... enter this: "ping google.de"

Please post the output (Rightclick->Mark)

Thanks

PS: This commands send some ping-requests to google.de (which should be one of the fastest server here) and you see, if this a router-problem or a internet-problem.

NAT type doesn't matter - you shouldn't have to portforward unless you're hosting a server

as long as upnp is enabled, everything will be fine

So try enabling Upnp in your router, if that doesn't work then I don't know

Try restarting your router, lol
