4D1 had worked fine before I installed win 7 on my computer. I got no errors, everything was fine.

 

However, now the game won't start at all. I got a copy of MW2 from steam as I bought it, and got DLCs from my friend (the zone files). Then, I directly installed IW4M with the installer.

 

But when I start the game, it stops for several seconds in black screen, and it suddenly shuts down with no error message showed.

Do you have the main_text.menu?

And do you have any antivirus software running? (If yes -> disable them)

I think I have them.

 

Also, I already have my antivirus software shut down everytime before running IW4M.

 

MW2 through Steam works just fine compared to IW4M.

 

I still don't know what causes the problem.

 

Anyone who can solve this problem?

 

ps. my os is win 7 64-bit.

Try to start it as admin, if that does not work, delete m2demo/raw folder and start the updater again.
