sometimes I cannot sprint in game. When I press the sprint button (Shift) sprinting begins but after maybe 0.3sec it stops again. It has nothing to do with the condition of the player. If I rest for one minute and try it again, it still does not work, so it has to do something with my Window7/IW4M settings? The problem does not occur if I hold the sprint button for about one second and release it then.

I hope you can help me as this is super annoying. Thanks!

Thanks, I forgot to meantion that. But there must be a reason for that strange behavior. It does not always occur, so I would rather like to tap the shift key for sprinting, than holding it down.

Try changing controls so that sprint is not bound to shift, but some other button, maybe thats a keyboard issue?

If not, its maybe because of some server setting ,who knows

This was happening to me, so do what the others in this thread have said & bound to another button.

It's because you are playing on a server that you have a bad connection to, usually above 130 ping it'll do that to you.

That did not work for me. If it depends on the server many other players shoudl have the problem, too... Does anybody else have it?
