Just got a BSOD on my new desktop, any idea why ?

Was playing Fifa 12 and installing Max Payne 3 at the same time.

Is your PC overclocked? I think could be that you were doing 2 heavy-duty things at once.

I got the GTX560 Amp Edition, it's overclocked on it's own. And the BSOD came on again while installing Max Payne 3 for the second time. Aren't BSOD's only hardware failures ?

BSOD can be from hardware and software failure I believe.

The only way you can get BSoD is if your hardware fucks up, or if drivers are bad. Pretty sure overclocking won't directly cause BSoD, although it can make your PC unstable.
