Yeah, except in the last game I was in, there was a guy yelling "Need reinforcements!" and it popped up in chat as well as his character yelling it...

I honestly have no clue. He was probably using his own scripts. Maybe someone else knows of it.

I'm feeling really stupid but I cannot open the file with notepad so I opened it with another program that I downloaded and now I cannot change the text....

You should be able to open that file with notepad; the lines might be a bit messed up though. Download notepad++, it should work just fine with that
