Every time I launch iw4m.exe it says I need a steam account with MW2 to play, which I do, and I currently have open.

 

The one time I did get into game I clicked play and each time it said disconnected from steam...

I even just freshly installed the game from DVD and updated it.

 

I can launch MW2 through steam just fine and play, but the alter mw2 wont let me log on :/

Or you could have read the FAQ, which has that exact same solution, before you started another useless topic.....
