I got the german version of the game but I want to play IW5M.

All english patches for the game I found were pretty big and I think they'll contain a lot of stuff (sp) I don't need. Does anybody know which of the english files are necessary for IW5M working properly and where I could get them?

Thanks but the translator doesn't works.

It cached some files then a problem occured it closed down and deleted my zone/german folder.

It seems to be a problem with the server which hosts files. I'll post here when the problem will be resolved

I have outdated polish files and it works fine so it should also work with german files.

 

1. Copy localized_ui_mp.ff and ui_mp.ff from zone\english to zone\german

2. start game, if you have error Couldn't load image 'specialty_new'

extract specialty_new.iwi from localized_english_iw00.iwd\images and drag it to localized_german_iwXX.iwd\images

My tip for next version: rename the folders instead of deleting them. The game will ignore them.

starte IW5M und lass es alles downloaden, was es braucht (Verwende eine normale deutsche, unveränderte Installation des Spiels, ohne Patches etc.).

Du musst danach in den Ordner "zone" gehen und alle Dateien im Ordner "english", deren Name etwas mit "patch" zu tun hat in den Ordner "german" kopieren (bereits vorhandene Гјberschreiben).

Ich wГјrde alle Dateien aus dem Ordner german, die ersetzt werden, als Backup irgendwo sichern...

FГјr 90% der Server musst du die DLCs downloaden...

The main problem is not related to my tool but to the server which stores files. Sadly, the webmaster has closed folders which contain files needed by my tool.

 

I'm currently uploading the needed files to my own webserver but due to bandwidth limitation, I must find an alternative.

It didn't delete "german" folder. It renamed it to english. All your content is there.

The language conversion is simple, but we automated it to make it even easier.

It deletes zone/english folder (wich only contains IW5M files) then renames the localized folder (german in your case) to "english". Then it downloads an english localization.txt and localized_english_iwXX.iwd files into "main" folder.

As Vico said, there's some problem with the server hosting the files. You can make/finish the conversion yourselves if you can get an english localization.txt and localized_english_iwXX.iwd files.
