I get some trouble with the xfire and steam overlay. For steam, I can't get it to come up at all. Should I create a seperate game in the library for it? and if so, should I put LaunchIW5M.exe or iw5mp.exe?

 

For XFIRE, I got it going, but after I enter a server it just freezes. Any ideas why?

If you have the original game it should start up automatically with Steam, and the overlay should stay, with your status saying you're playing CoD:MW3 MP. If you don't have it bought, then make LaunchIW5M.exe a non-steam game and always start it from Steam.

 

Don't have a clue about xfire though.

Having the Steam overlay work automatically should not need a license for the game at all.
