i didn't buy mw3, i just downloaded the dedicated server files from steam, so can i play with this when i make a folder called dw? but where do i have to make this folder?

You can, just create a folder called dw in the root of your MW3 folder (main and zone folders are there too).

Yes, you can. Put the 'dw' folder inside your MW3 directory. That should fix it.
