Jokes aside, I have no idea why you die at such a rate... I don't even die in like 3-4 shots...

I've noticed this too, and so have many many others. Somebody on the staff said that it's because some servers run hardcore health with the other core features normal, such as HUD/GUI.

I have the exact same problem and I was actualy gonna post about it but since it's already done, I'm just hoping it can be modified by some kind of update. I have no demo to show it but, besides my very low fps (15 to 25), I die even faster than you in your demo. I mean my screen doesn't even flash red, I just go straight from life state to death in 0.1 seconds in softcore. But on the other side i sometimes shoot half a ump45 mag in a guy's head to kill him, I get like 15 hitmarkers when 5 should be enough. However I have a rather good ping on all servers (60 to 90)

yea im 90 % percent shure ur not supposed to die this fast..

and since alot of people are experiencing this.... i think there is something that was altered... like maybe the whole health for iw5m..

I agree. and i truly hope it's gonna be patched or something cause it kinda ruins the whole game imo. But let's keep in mind that the release has only been out for a couple of days and filing hundreds of complaints about it is not really the best way to thank the devs. So even though the game is unplayable for me atm, thanks a bunch devs <3

Somewhat annoying as if I would want to play hardcore, I would just join a server that I know for sure is running it

Dude you are preachin to the congregation I said it's unplyayble for me cause I can't stand hardcore and with my shitty pc config I really cannot keep up with players who have 100+ fps if on top of that I get one shot with any gun by guys that are in the mean time teleporting in front of me (low fps again) while I am myself leavin pixels behind me when I move. If you've ever played with 40- fps you know what I mean.

still...... every server i try i die that fast,, if its hardcore ( only ran into very few) than u die very very very fast. so no its not because its hardcore, its something else... maybe the whole game is set to hardcore??

Good to know. So i suppose this value is the default one on all server. But are you sure that server admins or whoever owns them know about this command ?? Cause it really doesn't look like it, otherwise they would have chnaged it back to the one from "regular softcore", don't you think ?

The default is 100 (30 is the default for HC).

When creating a server for MW3, a dedicated server host has to go through 3 config files. A regular .cfg, a playlist file, and a recipe file. Commands such as maxHealth are already on the default recipe files. The dedicated server host just has to open the recipe file and modify the values for each command.

Since you all seem so curious on how dedicated servers behave, I'll attach here an example of each of the 3 types of MW3 dedicated server config files, so that you realize what can be customized on dedicated servers. These 3 files can be found on "admin" folder, on a regular Steam installation.

Advice: use notepad++ to open the files.

After seeing the files, you'll realize how easy a server can be customized. Maybe you'll even feel like setting up your own server

No thanks. But I'm still wondering why some players have this health problem when other players on the same server don't. It seems pretty unfair to me since I get killed 3x faster than the other guys. I'm seriosuly thinkin about uninstallin the friggin game right now :evil:

This has to reach the servers owners .. i play with pp9 and i kill someone with only 2 shots and because i have good ping ( 100) i can rush the spawn and rape it letterly without dieing, i could kill 10 people with only one clip... which is unfair for small levels as they can't keep up... so this has to be fixed.

That's why I love HC servers. Any weapon can kill with 1 shot, redefining the concept of "OP weapons".

i cant play the way i used to in tekno anymore....

in tekno i could rush because even if the enemies got a bullet in me first i would win most of the time because it took more than 2 bullets to kill me

in iw5m u can really rush good... u die in 2 shots and i have to change my playstyle to a more campy one..

can u guys please do something about this op weapons/ or little health..
