What value do you write after com_maxfps ? like com_maxfps 90 or what ?

Yeah, I have mine set to 250

setting it to 0 will fully unlock the fps-limit.

Open the console(with the key under ESC), press backspace once and then write it in, without the / .

You don't need to type this in again ? For example, if you typed in cg_fov 90 and you then closed the game, and started it up again at a later time, the fov is still there.

yes ghosty, because cg_fov is set by default in the config_mp.cfg. You dont have to add it, it is there by default. But com_maxfps and cl_maxpackets are not set by default in config_mp.cfg and if I try to add these lines:

seta cl_maxpackets 100

seta com_maxfps 0

 

to the config, the game will just overwrite them again, so I have to set this everytime I start my game again.

Well why don't you bind them(if bind already works) to let's say W since you probably use it to walk, other then that you have to know it's in an early state, so stuff like this are obviously going to happen.

Or you can set the config file as "read-only" so that the game can't overwrite it.

That command doesn't exsist in IW5M yet, like alot of commands.

That is it if it hasn't been changed/deleted.
