Hello guys

First off, I want to say that I like playing IW5M but, there is one problem, I cannot fix.

Usually I play at TeknoMW3 but soon after I changed to 4D1, and to be honest 4D1 seems way better and more balanced.Here is the problem I'm having.I get this error:

When I log with this account(I first made an older one thinking I could change my Nickname in-game but I soon found out I can't, so I made this one)

And the interesting part is that when I try to run the game with the older one, It Works, but when I try it with this one, It gives me this error.I looked through your Common Errors Topic, and did most of the things(Deleted cache.xml, looked for iw5m.ini(Couldn't find it anyway, I can run the game without it, so I don't think that is the problem))

Is it because I use Special characters in my account name? If so please tell me, when will there be a fix to this problem.

In addition, I'd like to thank you for your feedback,whether it is positive or negative.

Will do, I'm starting Steam, and I will edit this reply if there is any progress on the whole problem.

Edit:Problem still persists, I removed every TeknoMW3 File I could find and it still gives me the error.

if it works without the special character, its the problem with the name obviously....

convert from Tekno MW3 to IW5M is not a problem at all.

Try changing your nickname in the UCP above, doubt it's your name though.

If it is a problem with the login, try this:

 

Create a file called iw5m.ini then open it and put in your username and pass.

username
password

 

Make sure it's a .ini though, not a .txt.

Try changing your nickname in the UCP above, doubt it's your name though.

I just changed my name, and guess what, The problem is with the Special Symbols(the Hashtag and the dot)

So yeah, If anyone of you Tech Support Group users can speak with NT or any Game Modder to look into this problem with the symbols I would be really glad. I made a im5w.ini file with the new nickname and at the first run the game worked.

I just did what you said, and the error is still showing up.When Registering I saw something about the ASCII Characters and how they might not work ingame and stuff, and the thing is the Hashtag is an ASCII Character, So I'm wondering if that is the problem?

Hm could be, you will have to ask NTAuthority on the IRC though. Anyways happy to help.
