The stupid wording of that tutorial is what screwed me over.

Didn't say to install a fresh DEDICATED SERVER from steam itself - it just said to get a clean copy of the game. Once I installed the dedicated server files - I saw the "Default" stuff that was missing. Damn tutorials giving misworded information... >.>

 

"1. Have clean install of MW3 from Steam (or other source)" - Reword this confusing step. Add the words "Dedicated Server Tool" and then I'd not get lost there.

Wasting hours trying to get this to work when it was darn easy.

God that ticked me off :evil: - had to read down the entire post to see someone replying that they "Installed a clean Modern Warfare 3 Dedicated server hosting tool". -x- ... Though it's fixed.

Now I don't see my server on the list - Yes I have checked the FAQ - it says it made a connection and is running - I suspect either my antivirus or my router being strict even though the ports are open. Any suggestions on how to get this server shown on the boards? I can't even connect to myself when I input "connect localhost" into console. Any ideas?

Solution:

 

Check the Folder "{MW3Server}/Admin". In this folder must be presented the .dsr File. If there not presented, you must be copy all .dsr files from your computer to the server.
