Hey I fixed my server it's running but not showing up in the serverlist

What I've done is:

 

Took the old aiwdedi

Copied new files in

Replaced all the .iwd in /main folder with the normals

Added an iwd to m2demo folder which contains _gametypes.txt, vipv2.txt and vipv2.gsc

Launched the client with: wine iw4m.exe +set party_mplayers 17 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate -dedicated -console

 

When I connect to it with IP it works... can anyone help me out? I would like to bring the vipv2 back to the people

If other people cant see it thats a problem, but if YOU cant see it that is normal. goto Command prompt and type 'ipconfig' and find your ip4v address. In the iw4m console, type connect (ip address here) (port here [normally 28960]). You should be connected to your server.

The server is not on my localhost, it's running on a ubuntu server. Multiple people i asked dont see it. I know people can connect cause when people connect through console it works. Try it yourself: mw2.justupload.nl

Any type of hardware/software firewall on your Ubuntu install?

Not that I know of, aswell this setup worked in alteriw

Have you port forwarded?

 

Since you will be able to connect your own local server, even if the ports are not open, and it's not showing.

just enter the ip and port and it copy into your browser url and press enter.
