I just bought a 500 GB HDD made by Acer. Cost me about RM200 (divide it by 2.5 for USD currency). I decided to use it mainly for recording gameplay and putting all of my animes there. But since using the USB cable is darn slow for recording, I thought I might ask this before doing it. Can I turn my external into an internal HDD?

No. Decent motherboards start from €90 (which is a lot if you have to buy your own stuff) and it wouldn't work anyway because the converter from the external HDD might not even support USB 3.0.

note how some modern external hard drives may not be using an external USB -> ATA converter, but might actually have a direct USB controller in the drive itself
