Its been about 1 week. I NEED TO play IW5M. I have the issue that it displays the servers, but i cant connect to any and it just times out. After hours and hours of troubleschooting. I think I may know what to do. I have a few friends that are connected and i asked what version they are running which is located at the main menu at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I have IW5M R18. My friends that are able to connect and play are running IW5M R19. Is there a way i can update to R19? Thanks to anybody who replies. <3

there's no r19, your friends are likely being generic and going 'oh I have this version you don't, and am not going to say how I got it, I'm so awesome like that'

Anyway, whenever you think you might have problems with update files, just delete caches.xml and start LaunchIW5M.exe to force IW5M files check/update.

i guess your right about r19. they were trolling me. -__- anyways, i deleted the caches and nothing happened. still that annoying error.

Seems to me that some firewall is blocking your traffic, delaying you the connection until it eventually times out.

Try to disable your router firewall, to start.

Try syncing your date and time to current ones.
