Thank you for fixing the "connection timed out" error as well as the servers. I now can see a lot of servers with fine pings (although my internet is very bad). But I have a question:

When I updated IW5M today, then played, I thought I didn't rank up and my weapon level didn't increase, because I didn't hear the promotion sound at all the whole time I played. But then I noticed that everything was fine. So did NTA remove the promotion sound?

No, NTA didn't remove anything along those lines.

Maybe you didn't hear it ? Also, your sound folder could be missing some files. Or is renamed so that the game doesn't use them.

No I don't think so because before the update I could hear it.

BTW I can hear the "challenge complete" sound but not the promotion.

A possible fix is to sync your date and time to the current one, do it by going to your PC's clock and then Internet time, in which you can ask it to sync.

Or just take a look at #31 in the Common Errors thread.

Do you have the "miles" folder in your MW3 directory?

Sorry for the very late reply but my internet was off for a week.

Yes, of course, I have the "miles" folder and today I updated my internet time about 5 times and still having the same error. I could only join one server and then when I left it I couldn't join another even the same one. Always "Server connection timed out".

I appreciate any help because I played for 3 days after the release of IW5M without any problems but then I don't know what happened.

I really want to turn OFF the promotion and challenge sounds. They always happen when I'm on a decent streak and need to be able to hear someone coming. Then people brag about being the "one that got Jim." :twisted:

I didn't do anything. It just happened to me in one match.

If you want to do it, edit the sound files with something different or just make them quiet.

BTW are you having the "Server connection timed out" error? And do you know how to fix it?

No the problem is not because of your NAT, NAT important only with matchmaking,

Yes I agree, patience is the best thing now. Hopefully it might be fixed in a future update or revision.

I know this is a common error and I'm not the only one, but most of the people having this error fixed it with time sync.

Anyway I hope they fix it soon.
