Possible Fix for Connecting to Online Services

Featured Replies

If your net is wireless, Open Network and Sharing Center. Click Change Adapter Settings on the left side. Double click your Wireless Network Connection then Properties on the box that pops up. Should be two tabs at the top click Sharing. Make sure that everything is UNTICKED and then click okay. This was a fix for servers not showing up in BlackOps and it fixed the Connecting to Online Services problem for me in IW5M. I have toggled it back on to see if I got the problem again and I did. So with the 'Allow Other Networks to Connect Through this Computer's Internet Connection' option ticked is one cause for the problem. Probably not the the only cause but worth a shot. Hope this helps.

Worked for me and many other people.. dumbest fix ever but works

Different problems.

"Connecting to Online Services" happens on the main menu, while "Connecting" happens while trying to join a dedicated server.

To each problem, each fix.

I had already seen that one. And I have searched to see if the problem I am trying to help with has a fix, which I have not yet seen. I mean that ridiculous clock fix may help with this but I don't see any way that it would. This is not Connecting... As in not be able to connect to a game but Connecting to Online Services when you try to view servers.
