Hi All,

I'm trying to install the dedicated server on a dedi box running server 2008 standard edition R2. I have put the dsut updater in the mw2 folder, BUT I haven't installed the client files to the install directory. (Mainly as it didn't say to in the DS tutorial). When I run it, i get an error message, saying "Tester has stopped working". I'm not sure if it's because I haven't installed the client files, or something else.

Kind Regards,

LiMiT

Hi Jerre,

Thanks for the quikc reply! I installed the client files and then run dsut, but it still crashed. I done a bit of googling, and resolved it. It was the OS's fault >:(. I wrote the below quote that I think you should put in the dedicated server install guide, for future reference:

If you are using an R2 version of any windows server 2008 OS, you need to ensure that dot net 3.5 is enabled in server features. To do this, go to Start > Administrative tools > Server Manager, and click features on the left pane. Click "add features" on the right, and select .NET Framework 3.5.1
