So I downloaded a mod, put it in the "mods" folder, but I still can't find it on my Mods menu in-game. I see nothing there.

Yes you've downloaded a mod and put it in mods folder but are you sure the mod wasn't compressed like in .rar or .iwd? If so - make a folder inside the mods folder and rename it as you like and place the .iwd file inside the folder you've created.

 

if the mod is in .rar extract it and if the extracted file already has a folder - drag or copy that folder into your mods otherwise do the above instruction.
