Hi Guys!

Recently i was made a server for me and my friends but i couldn't log into rcon!

i did enter the password but it didn't work!

anyone knows how i should set rcon password and log into it?

Note!:i did set rcon password in "Game Folder\player2\Server.cfg" but it didn't work!

RCON doesn't work as for now, you have to install B3 or any other plugin/tool (such as RCON tool) in order to keep server under your control.

 

I'd suggest you to go for B3.

The server.cfg in use should be the one on "admin" folder.

The command to set the rcon password on server.cfg is

seta rcon_password "pass"

And to login on rcon in-game, just open the console and type:

login pass

(it does work)

There are only 2 easy steps. Setting a rcon password and logging in.

Won't be that hard for you to figure where you're failing.

It does not work in IW5M....

same setup my rcon works in TeknoMW3, but NOT in IW5M!!!

And what do you type in the console?

there is no problem with my setup...

in TeknoMW3, once u open a console, you already have the word ">rcon " there at the top line prompt, all u need to do is type

login pass

status

 

in IW5M, once u open a console, there is no that "rcon" word, all u get is a ">"

then no matter what u type

rcon login pass

login pass

/rcon login pass

rcon /login pass

nothing works!!!

I'm quite sure the server.cfg file which is called during launching of the server is located at players2 not admin. and also, have you yourself logged in successfully? cause I've double checked everything, even edited server.cfg in both admin and players2, but still can't get the command "login Pass" work. it's like it is not even interpreted by the game at all, just a null command.

Can someone (developer) give a definite answer if the in game console remote rcon is working or not???

perhaps rcon tools knows how to talk to the server while IW5M client doesn't??

rcon not working in my 2 servers also i tried everything...do u hv guyes any other option not b3...or u hv any addon pack..

It's my understanding that rcon doesn't work in-game from the console. You have to do the rcon command from the server console only. Otherwise you have to use B3 or the Server Addon.
