It's possible to do it, but it might lead you to be accused of texture hacking... if you know what I mean (I think you do)

find the iwi for the glob that you need and google a topic for making a custom texture...

As with alterIW, changing YOUR gloves is fine, changing other's is not. As with smoke, I'm not sure how, or why you would change it... to what color is a better question.
