How can I votekick or voteban a user that had a strange nickname?

Is there a different method to obtain his kick?

Idk mate, but as far as I know the admin of the server can track him and kick\ban him.

isn't their a clientid when you just type /votekick ?..

If you use b3 votekick then you only need enough of the name to differentiate them from other players. Like for me you could do "/votekick The" as long as no one else's name starts with The

it depends on what kind of "strange-name" you mean? if there are weird characters which you probably don't know how to type, like в™Јв–ђв•ќв”‚в™  and other characters, then it's easy to start a vote, just minimize the game, and in the console you will see logs being written, find and copy the name and type in the console "say !vote ban X", in which X is the place where you paste the name.

 

or also you could add the server in Qtracker and then in the player list right click on the name and choose "add friend", then you'll get the player name and you can copy it in your clipboard and paste it where I already explained.

 

but If it's a name without a character, which means you don't see any characters at all, then probably you won't be able to start a vote.

for an admin it's always easy and possible to kick someone using the command !pl to find the players numbers.

 

also if there are two players sharing one name, then it also won't be possible to start a vote for the cheater.

In Qtracker, mw2 servers can be easily added as cod4 servers, the only difference is that one bot is always available in the server.

Xfire is also fine, you can do the same with it.

I know some servers let non-admins use the !list command.
