can you give me a full instruction of playing the game in the lan network, offline?

need full instruction, i'm new here and i dont know too much.

Lan offline while playing on server is not possible, true. But connecting multiple PCs to each other is, afaik.

Couldn't someone build a program that takes care of all the files that need to be changed.. so that the user can just adjust the map rotations and other various settings and click start? Like a front end.
