Does VAC run if I start with iw4m.dat? Legitimate copy bought off steam, Steam is running when I start it. Worried about loading mod menus via mod folder.

Also forgot tp add that when hacks are first released there are alot of cheaters, but over time the number shrinks.

Cheaters are in every game, why will this be different? Hardware ban seems a tad extreme and, as was said earlier, alot have dynamic IPs now. I say we leave it how it is, I don't run into many cheaters anyway.

OP is stupid. Verify game cache via steam after you delete the 4d1 files, make a backup, then try installing again. This is one of the easiest things to install.

Was choosing a config and accidently chose the 'config' file and now whenever I start 4D1 I can't pull up the console.What do I do? Edit: Decided to save myself trouble and reinstall. Problem solved.

Whenever I try to play on a server currently playing a DLC map the loading screen with a preview of a map comes up for a second(Setting up game...) and then my whole screen goes black, the computer makes an error sound, and IW4M goes unresponsive. I then have to ctrl+alt+delete out, open up task manager, close IW4M, then reopen it. How can I fix this?
