Well, I've been thinking. And I haven't seen any sort of topic relating to the subject at hand.
And before we go and chat about that, I want to point out that I mean the old anti-cheat, which was maintained by a single person and was an amazing anti-cheat. Or so I remember, it's better than VAC. Better than Punk-Buster and better than Battle-eye.
So, why not go and establish a legitimate company, and distribute the anti-cheat to publishers and game developers?
I'm sure NTA has thought about this before, and many others too, but no one ever made a topic about it.
As I remember (And yes, I'm aware aCi was made for only IW4M, or alterIWnet M1 if you're picky) aCI worked flawlessly once you implemented it. Never saw a single god damned cheating kiddie since it was implemented.
Think about it, you could make a lot of money, if all goes to plan, and you'd have a legitimate company to fall back to if 4D1 get's closed down by Activision someday.
Of course, I'm not a professional and I don't know much about anti-cheats and how to maintain them, but aCI, well if you could get that one person to maintain it again, and if he'd be as good at it as the guy that maintained it in the ol' alterIWnet days, it'd be an amazing anti-cheat.
So, yeah. Discuss.
