So recently I was driving and while driving, smoke began to come out of all the vents in my car. I was quite shocked so I drove home then left my car. Anyways I come here wondering if anyone knows the condition. The reason being is I want to know if its safe to drive or not. It also has an odor that I can not describe, and also I wondering if its safe to drive because I don't want to take it to the mechanic and have it light up in flames in middle of the freeway. Another thing that happens is the fan that turns on when the engine gets hot comes on. Its usual to come on since its hot over here in Cali. Back on topic, Should I drive to the auto-shop or should I call a Tow truck and get towed there? I am not a mechanic and I asked the mechanic himself he told me he couldn't diagnose the problem over the phone.

Might be your car loosing coolant. Check if there are any leaks and if there is coolant left. Anyway, if its not too far away and there is some coolant left, i wouldn't resist driving to the next car repair shop.

You know I placed in 2 full bottles of coolant and it didn't rise an inch. I also checked, there is no leak under.

Its a 2002 Ford Windstar. I have thoughts about selling this piece of shit. 2 reasons, 1 it keeps having problems. 2. It looks literally brand new inside and out ( Just don't take a look at the engine ). The only real downside to this car is it has problems since its old and it needs new tires.

Yes Yes I have my issue was something with the cooling system and something heat ( couldn't read it ) what was happening was something within there broke and while driving some oil would go through it and start burning on the hot parts of the car. I am getting it repaired this Saturday ( Tomorrow ) Its over 400$ job. I am glad you took time out of your day to help me out. Not many other people would do that.
