However, I wonder if some T's are using some workaround, or perhaps that (if any), can be applied in our Network Topology?

consumer routers are too closed to allow you to directly manipulate the internal firewall rules applied in whatever underlying embedded OS they run

Yeah and let alone an ADSL modem, which I have :?

I was trying for NAT -- Port Triggering for 27015, but I wonder that might help.

The only thing you can try is to enable a DMZ host on your router.

I tried that also, but didnot let it continue. DMZs make your Network prone to attacks.

I was going through these articles to understand more; in between the replies.

Edit: I tried some workaround from this-> http://www.dyndns.co...onnections.html as well, but didnt get it.

DMZs don't, but a DMZ wouldn't even help in this case. Setting a system as exposed host might expose that system if it's running outdated Windows versions or outdated server software, but with a proper firewall (which includes the Windows firewall) there should be no issues in such.

And even then, exposed hosts don't help with broken routing.

I was earlier wondering, if we can do it by installing second network card, with external IP and then bridging both. But I dont think, that will help. An exact loopback is what is required, in this case.

Thank you NTA/Paulofonta for giving your time on this discussion. I am beginning to realize, my logic sense has greatly gone down now. ;p

PS: Actually with T's I meant...'God..forget it.
