So i found out about the winter and marine camos not too long ago and i found a "hack" that allowed you to set them to guns. I was wondering if it was possible to use them another way. I have heard that its possible to actually add them to the game by changing the name of a standard camo for ex. Weapon_camo_clasic to say weapon_camo_winter. Is this possible or even remotely close to achievable? Thanks for any help.

Go to my camo thread and you'll find them. Snow replaces winter and I forgot which one replaces marine.

Ok im guessing your Hex one is marine,i also guess what i was asking is correct i could always change the weapon_camo_winter to anything else ...snow,hex,multi,gold even and it would work that way too.

Won't using cheat engine get you banned? I mean, it's memory editing.

But cheat engine is a good debugging tool i don't think it will ban unless you freeze values or something like that .( Do not quote me on this it is speculation)

Freezing Values is automaticly changing the address every few mili-seconds. there's no difference.

You will get banned for using cheat engine if you use it to do bad thingies, like changing nickname or getting wallhex

You can start searching for unknown initial value in 2bytes, then you press unchanged value, search again, change camo on the weapon, search for changed value, change camo on the weapon, search for changed value and so on till you get to 1-4 addresses

 

Or, search for string Custom Class 1 for example

Browse one of its regions (right click), change camo while in memory view and look at what did just change
