Alright, so I've set up my server with a mod, and im on the computer im running the server on. I have the game AND the server using the same game folder, (Yes, im to lazy to copy all of it into another folder...)and when i start the game, type connect (internalIP+PORT), it loads the map, then says I have an error.

"mods/secret/SM.iwd is different from server..."

How can this be? The .iwd i have is EXACTLY the same .iwd from the server...

Any help would be great...

It's an error related to your server revision (what is it btw)

 

This is probably why you're getting no players, because they get that error.

 

Easy way is to go into your client folder and delete the mod in /Mods. This will let you join again. But also in alternately place the mod (the .IWD) in m2demo, and run the mod from there.

Nope. Doesnt work. I tried on a different computer also, I joined once, it was perfect. I left, tried to join again, and got the SM.iwd is different from server error again... It seems after I delete my SM.iwd , it will redownload it, but thats not an option for everyone to do...

You could try to set "sv_pure 0" on the dedicated server.

Nope. Same thing... I had my server up and running for like a week, did one tiny Mod change in my setting.gsc, and BAM! its all screwed up....

 

Edit: The new problem is No-One can connect to my server twice w/o taking out there '^5Secret' folder out from there 'mods' folder. which is just tooo much work...

I fixed it. I still have it running from my mods folder, but for some reason, when i do the ^# the make it colorful, it messes it up along with B3-Bot. So, as of right now, I wont be using the color tag.

Nope. Doesnt work. Ive tried every folder, even making up my own... Like instead of 'mods' i put 'mod' and it got so jacked up. Still looking for help if anyone hass a hint, also, you could try joining my server, playing, disconnecting, then rejoin and you will CLEARLY see the problem...

Second of all, you can't have fs_game set to anything but /main /m2demo or a subfolder of /mods so using other folders wont help.

Third of all, I have no idea about this stuff... thats pigophone's area. He's the one who is familiar with the codebase.

Great, well, since none of them work except for the 'mods' folder, ill be waiting for little piggy to come here. Im sure he will have something... xD
