Cheers guys ,

 

I just installed the necessary files and it started just fine . When i try to click in the menu , nothing happens , if i click in game , nothing happens , if i file thought the menu with the keyboard it works , but if i use the mouse it doesn't .

Also been able to access the servers , but cannon click on a specific server to connect .

 

Info :

MW3 dedicated server downloaded from Steam

IW5M downloaded from here

Included all the DLC files as i should in the game folder

 

Windows 8 build 9200 RTM

 

Game has been Run in compatibility mode with windows 7 , Vista and XP as an administrator .

 

Please let me know if there is anything i can do to fix the matter .

in dxdiag it says Direct X 11 in Nvidia Control Panel it says 10.1 so i don't know what to say

Latest nVidia Video Card driver (in my case with windows 8 , it is 302.80 for GeForce G210M - notebook )

I said that i ran it as an administrator and compatibility mode with win 7 , win xp , win vista , only one i haven't tried was win 98/me

Also in the bottom right corner of the screen of the game it says IW5M r21 , if it helps .

By the way I look at it, that could only happen if you have individual mouse profiles for specific applications...

Try connecting some other old mouse that you have laying around there and see if it works.

check mouse option in-game.

Don't bother compatibility mode on windows 8. Turn it off and you should have your mouse function again.

You are right , no compatibility , It works . Did not aspect that . I have played other games and i had to use compatibility mode .

It seems that it is a problem from the compatibility options in windows 8 . Good to know for the future .
