[REQ/QUESTION] Custom skyboxes :O

Custom skyboxes are not possible and probably will not ever be. The reason for this is they are encoded or made in a different way from cod4/blops that was never released as there are no mod tools for mw2/3. You can however rename the _ft files of one map to every file if you wish to use that sky on every map. This is what I do at least.

That's not custom, it's one of the default ones. At least it looks nearly exactly the same as one of the default ones.. Never said skins wasn't possible. I'm wondering if it's possible to create rain on all maps through gsc code though..?

So would it be possible to use the favela sky on underpass for example ?

Yup.

The rain FX has to be loaded somehow, and right now it's stored in the rain maps (storm and underpass) fastfile. So no, it wouldn't be possible on any other map.

Wasn't there map that was being developed by someone that had the rain FX? It was like a Cargoship or something

You're right, LoserSM used rain FX on his "cargoship" map, but:

I used mp_underpass as dependency map to achieve some nice rain FX.

Meaning that he had to load the mp_underpass fastfile in order to get the MP assets + rain FX. All converted SP maps does this to load the map specific MP assets.

As I said here:
