aIW wasn't a legitimate modding community, atleast not after aO and aMW3 were released. One *might* consider it a legitimate modding community when there was only MW2, but a major amount of the players only played it because it was free, and not because of what it improved. Due to the idiots asking for aO/aMW3 it got C&D'd.
