whenever i go into a server my fov is a the default and when i go into the console an type /cg_fov 90 it dosn stay because when i die it changes back to the default. how do i keep it at 90?

go in players folder,config_mp.cfg and edit cg_fov from 65 to 90

That's because of you're playing on a server that runs a mod (the mod changes your fov on every respawn)

Type this in your console: /bind W "+forward;cg_fov 90"

Should work.

Did you try making your config write protected?
