Hey everyone, I really want to start playing iw5m but i just cant! I get too many error messages and the like. I downloaded the updates of the game and entered my username and password but when the game is about to start it exits and says "could not load image mw3 scrollbar". I have searched everywhere on the net an no one has provided a full,understandable answer. I know that if this current problem gets fixed then there might be another one so iv'e decided to show you my whole game folder (See top). If anyone notices that i am missing any files please help and provide the download links to them. Thank you and i hope to see some of you ingame on iw5m (if this works).

We can't provide you download links though.

Do a steam check on your game to replace that damaged file.

If I remember that's iw_00.iwd but it doesn't matter just redownload from Steam. As you may be missing other files from the torrent you downloaded -obviously-

None of those files matter to your problems. Your problem was caused by a file inside "main" folder.

As for all that mess of files, all that we need is binkw32.dll, localization.txt, mss32.dll and IW5M updater.

Your best bet is probably to downlaod the MW3 Dedi from Steam, it has everything you need. Go to All Games -> Tools -> Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Dedicated Server to find it.

This is my last chance to find if it works but here is my main folder if you can identify missing files then plz point them out but if it doesnt work im not gonna bother to get it off steam wasted enough gb's already.

Btw i copied some files (like the localized ones) off the mw2 game folder so if they are not needed plz tell me and i will delete them.

I usually save these words, but... you just FUCKED UP your IW5 installation...

IW5 IWDs are about 300MB each, while IW4 ones are about half the size. How could you even think that IW4 files would work on IW5 ?

Your whole "main" folder is useless now. You have just overwrite all the files that you needed... (now that's wasting GB of information)

Either do a Steam check to recover all the files that you wasted, or reinstall the whole thing.

just got off steam btw i didnt copy iw4m's main folder i just tried to find iw5 iwd files but i didnt kno they were iw4 cuz it didnt say. Thanks anyway guys
