Alright, so.

I installed my new PSU and GPU and everything was dandy until... boom.

15 minutes or so after playing Blacklight Retribution my PC shut right down, like there was a power outage or something.

 

I thought it was the temperature of my cpu at first, but then I read to do a furmark stress test.

After half a second I clicked "OK" the PC shut down, so I'm guessing it might not be a heat issue.

But then again, if you're going to use a cheap, low quality PSU, it's not going to work.

Then why did you buy a 7870? I mean, you can drop $250 on a graphics card, but not more than $50 a PSU? It would've been better to go for a cheaper graphics card, just to have more money for a high quality PSU.

Probably better than your first one, should do fine with a single card. But I wouldn't buy it, since Corsair's CX series is their budget series.
