Since internal voice chat cannot be fixed in IW4M, what chat program does the community recommend? Xfire, teamspeak?. Free would be a plus. Thanks

Most people use TS3. Some others use Ventrilo or Mumble. All three are free.

I recommend Teamspeak. You can also you Skype, but thatВґs crap, because ur latence is fucked up then..

The best solution is to get Teamspeak 3 and host your own server or get someone to host it for you if your uploadspeed is shit.

It works, but it sucks. ItВґs like push-to-talk.

In game chat has never worked from day one in IW4M. We have tried using gsc files provided by other generous community members, server cfg tweaks, nothing works. We are quite familiar with how voice chat works in-game, we used it with Alteriwnet, it was buggy, but it worked. We have not been as lucky with IW4M which is why we have given up on the ingame chat and are looking into other options. If anyone has been able to get chat to work with their server, please share your steps for success.

As usual, you guys are the best. We will look into TS3 and would appreciate any help or server access. There are only 6 of us that would like to be able to voice chat in the game, I'm not sure if that would require much server use or if we could simply find a public one available to use for our weekend matches.
