More obvious PM notifications.

Hello,

I think I remember in alterIWnet that there was a popup window when you visited the website and you had received a new PM.

Can we have something similar in FourDeltaOne ?

I know the PM sign turning orange should be obvious enough, but I have sent 3 messages (to members who seem to visit everyday) that have yet to be read. So it might not be obvious to everybody.

I don't know if similar requests already exists because I can't search for the term "PM" (too common), so I apologize in advance if this has already been addressed.

Thanks.

I think it is obvious enough. Maybe they noticed it, but don't read all PMs because they get so many, or ignored it, for some reason.

I agree with something like the popup window but people like NTA would get spammed with it(presuming he gets spammed with PM's). It would become annoying.

I should precise those PMs were sent to people that have 0 post on the forum. Which is why I thought they didn't notice it rather than they didn't want to check it (but it could be ; I don't see why, though).

Maybe something you could turn off with an option in the UCP then ?

Then it's believable that they don't visit the forum at all, and just want the game for free.

As I said in the first post, they do seem to visit the website everyday. Every time I look at their profile, their last connection was the same day or the day before. I can't know if they just stop at the front page (ie, not the forum) though, but I don't think they'd visit that often then.

Those PMs were about proof of innocence for wrongful bans issued on me, so I'm hoping I was just unlucky and the next ones (if any ; although I'm not playing much 4D1 these days) will read them, if there's no change with the forum.

Then they are probably ignored, because they are ban appeals.

Logging in to the game will also reset this timer.
