Gets to 76% downloading files and i get this error....

I've never seen this error before, check if you have enough hard drive space and if your hard drive isn't corrupted. Might not even be close though... there's not much to understand from that error message.

It should obviously exist, the game won't run without it. Do keep in mind that "xml" is a file extension.

Had same issue after update....

 

Just deleted my game folder.

 

Copied new one from steam.

 

Dropped in updater. Run.

 

Worked fine after that.

caches.xml won't exist if the updater didn't finish it's job atleast once. So don't worry about it.

There are 2 possible causes for that issue. Either the folder where the updater is trying to write a file to (either the root folder, "main" or "zone\english") is set to "Read-only", or some firewall is blocking the download.

I found a fix anyways, I just downloaded a Mw3 crack and put the files into the folder, So i'd say there was 1 or 2 missing files that i hadn't picked up on.
