I know I can consult a magical moofin (lol cake) and ask him how to play IW5M magically, but I was wondering how to actually get your legit copy of MW3 to register with IW5M, if that is even possible. Everytime I launch the game without the magical moofin's powder, it says I need to have the legit version of the game on steam, which I have. Any ideas? Or is this obsolete?

I dunno if my explanation wasn't clear enough, but I have legit IW5. I want to connect it to IW5M WITHOUT using the folder we cannot speak of.

I have a legit copy of MW3 also....can't get it to work right either...says the same thing yours does...

 

My son has a legit copy also.....cant do it either.....

You have Steam running, right ? Tried setting your profile to public ?

What he is asking is that he has one account with a legit copy of IW5. He wants to log onto another Steam account, and of course that won't let him log on. However, he dosen't want to use the folder work around (god knows why). Therefore he was asking whether he could link the fact he has IW5 to his account so that he could simply log on with any computer with that account.

 

As far I know, that is not possible at this current time. The folder work around usually works very well.

The folder isn't going to kill you if you use it..

It's my OCD kicking in. No other reason, just wondering because it didn't work and was wondering if it was designed to even work like that.
