Does this mod not have an active community? When I used to play AlterIWnet there would be between 2000 - 5000 players at any one time, and that was just the matchmaking. I just logged on there was only 1 server which was worth visiting which had 13 people in it... is the playerbase for this always so low?

IW4M isn't at a -completely- stable build yet. That's reason one.

 

Reason two could be that it isn't free, and people don't want to give Activi$ion $20-$50 for a game that is 3 years old. Especially when both the DLC together cost more than the actual game does.

And reason 3 .Most people would rather play Steam MW2, because it has more players, and so there are less players on 4D1, and the vicious cycle continues...

Reason 3 is actually the fact that they might have friends that play Steam MW2. I don't think there would be any other reason to play Steam MW2, even with the low player count. Just my opinion, but to each their own.
